Lorna Wiles was born in Cornwall where she has worked as a Screen Printer, Textile Designer, and Painter for several decades. She studied at Falmouth, Plymouth and Bristol Art Colleges and now works from her studio in Cornwall, where she has a gallery of her work and an extensive variety of prints can be viewed and purchased. She produces new and original art work on a regular basis, no longer exhibiting at other locations at present.
Her paintings are very varied as she moves from one medium to another, encompassing texture from textile media, bold colour from acrylic paints and lively drawing from pastel and charcoal. All a feast for the eyes and stimulating for the creative mind. The gallery also displays a wide range of ceramics by some very talented potters and other intriguing work by creative artists.
Studio / Gallery
The Gallery is situated at West Pentire, a small hamlet on a headland just a mile or so west of Crantock, on the north Cornish coast. This area has some of the most spectacular coastal vistas in Cornwall, which in spring and summer is ablaze with wild flowers. It is a perfect location for walking, surfing and relaxing the whole year.
Luckily, we have a lovely bistro almost next door to us called 'CBay' that produces delicious breakfasts, lunches, coffee, tea, cakes and evening meals. The view is almost as good as the food. Well worth a visit after a long cliff walk. Dogs are welcome too, as they also are, in the gallery, so a real bonus!
